You will not only be a bridge between the community and the project but also a catalyst and guardian of the community. You will be responsible for developing and executing our global community growth strategy, inspiring community members to participate and contribute, and building a healthy, inclusive, and sustainable open-source ecosystem. If you love technology, enjoy interacting with people, and are eager to showcase your talents on a global stage, this position is tailor-made for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Community Growth and Strategy:

    • Develop and execute a global community growth plan to enhance the project’s visibility and influence in major technology communities.

    • Analyze community data (such as GitHub stars, forks, issues, PRs, forum activity, etc.), gain insights into trends, and optimize operational strategies accordingly.

    • Explore and develop new community channels to attract developers, contributors, and users worldwide.

  • Content Creation and Dissemination:

    • Collaborate with the technical team to write technical blogs, tutorials, case studies, and new version release notes, making complex technical content easy to understand.

    • Manage the project’s official social media (e.g., Twitter, LinkedIn, Reddit, etc.) and technical community accounts (e.g., Discord, Slack, forums, etc.) to ensure content quality and consistency.

    • Plan and produce diversified content, including but not limited to videos, live broadcasts, and online seminars, to attract audiences at different levels.

  • Community Activation and Empowerment:

    • Identify, cultivate, and recognize core contributors, and establish a contributor growth system and incentive plan.

    • Actively initiate and guide technical discussions in the community, answer user questions, and promptly synchronize community feedback to the internal technical team.

    • Organize and manage online/offline community activities, such as Meetups, hackathons, and community sharing sessions.

  • Community Support and Feedback Loop:

    • Serve as the project’s “voice” and “ears,” maintain a positive and healthy community atmosphere, and ensure that community guidelines are followed.

    • Efficiently handle community inquiries and feedback from different channels (GitHub Issues, Discord, forums, etc.).

    • Establish an effective feedback mechanism to transform user voices into concrete requirements for product improvement.

Job Requirements

  • Essential Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent technical background.

    • At least 2 years of work experience in community operations, developer relations, or technical evangelism in the technology field (especially the open-source software field).

    • Deep understanding and passion for open-source culture and collaboration models, and may be a contributor or user of an open-source project.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English, with the ability to clearly and accurately convey complex concepts to a global technical audience.

    • Data-driven mindset, able to use data analysis tools (such as Google Analytics, community insight tools, etc.) to measure work effectiveness.

    • Strong self-motivation, project management skills, and multitasking ability, able to collaborate effectively in a distributed remote working environment.

  • Bonus Points:

    • Practical experience in participating in or leading open-source projects on platforms such as GitHub, with verifiable contribution records.

    • Successful experience in planning and organizing online/offline technical activities (such as Meetups, hackathons).

    • Familiarity with the field of our technology stack (Artificial Intelligence).
